Senior Materials Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Materials Engineer to support compliance initiatives across our Power & Controls business, ensuring alignment with global chemical regulations while driving innovation and operational excellence.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure product and material compliance with global chemical regulations (US EPA, EU/UK REACh, PFAS, and local requirements);
- Review technical documentation and prepare material analyses supporting design, manufacturing, and certification;
- Create and maintain compliance documentation, including Materials of Concern (MoC);
- Identify material and process risks and drive improvements to performance, durability, and regulatory alignment;
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, EHS, Suppliers, and Customers to resolve chemical-related issues;
- Support sustainability initiatives, including green material alternatives and regulatory risk reduction;
- Develop standardized processes and digital tools to streamline compliance reporting and audits;
- Support global initiatives, customer inquiries, and work transfers to ensure continuity of supply and compliance;
- Drive continuous improvement across compliance activities using CORE methodology.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree Engineering or a related technical discipline: Chemical technology, materials engineering, chemical and process engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, composites engineering;
- Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in engineering, compliance, or technology-driven environments;
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, including planning, execution, reporting, and risk management;
- Experience leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams within a matrix organization;
- Knowledge of the basics of technical drawing and material and process standards;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken);
- Proficiency in compliance databases, digital reporting systems, Product Life Cycle (PLC) tools, and advanced MS Office functions.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with CAD tools (CATIA, NX);
- Strong presentation and influencing skills;
- Hands-on experience with global chemical regulations (REACH, EPA, PFAS);
- Background in industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environments;
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a global organization.
