As an Energetic Materials Engineer, the role focuses on the design, development, and testing of energetic systems (propulsion, detonation, pyrotechnics), in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, while ensuring safety, performance, and quality.

About the role

Your mission covers a variety of exciting tasks, including working on propulsion systems, detonation mechanisms, and pyrotechnical compositions. You will spearhead the development and testing of energetic materials systems, contributing your expertise in mechanical and electronic engineering. Engaging closely with clients and various departments, you will ensure the systems meet stringent performance, safety, and quality criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and industrialize pyrotechnic products (motors, warheads, fuzes) from concept to production;
• Define specifications with customers and manage suppliers throughout development and quality control;
• Plan and execute testing, evaluate performance, safety, and reliability;
• Maintain safety and technical documentation (FMECA, safety analyses);
• Support production and continuous improvement through technical reviews and change management.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energetic Materials, Chemistry, Mechanics, Physics, or a related field;
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in energetic materials development;
• Expertise in chemical reactions, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes;
• Proficiency in full lifecycle product development;
• Strong project management and problem-solving acumen;
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations;
• English proficiency is essential, while French skills are advantageous;
• Open to work within the Defence sector.
