Job Description Summary

As a Lead Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in a team responsible for the electrical design of medical devices used in ICU and ward environments. This includes both traditional bedside wired monitors and emerging wireless ambulatory monitors. Design work is performed using Cadence and Altium environments. You will ensure, through rigorous testing, that designs meet all technical, operational, and performance requirements, with particular attention to medical device standards for safety and measurement accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Own electronics design for complex medical devices.
  • Perform detailed electronics design, including schematics and PCB layout.
  • Conduct verification and system-level design and testing activities.
  • Solve technical and customer problems in collaboration with the hardware team.
  • Work closely with our hardware engineering team using the latest development technologies and tools.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical, or a related engineering field.
  • 5–10 years of hands-on electronics design experience, preferably with miniaturized, disposable, or single-use devices.
  • Expertise in designing digital, analog, and/or RF circuits.
  • Advanced experience with PCB layout - multi-layer, rigid-flex, RF/high-speed trace design, and microvias.
  • Knowledge of EMC, RF measurements, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong track record in system-level integration and testing to ensure performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Proficiency with design CAD tools such as Altium, Cadence, or PADS.
  • Engineering curiosity and a problem-solving mindset, with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to convey complex technical details to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • EU work permit.

Desirable skills

  • Experience in basic physiological measurements, including pulse oximetry (SpO₂), heart rate (HR), and electrocardiogram (ECG).
  • Familiar with disposable medical device constraints: small form factors, low-cost manufacturing, biocompatible materials, power efficiency.
  • Experience working under a Quality Management System (QMS), preferably in medical or automotive industries.
  • Interest in applying AI in design work.
  • Proven track record of released products.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management, including versioning, post-launch monitoring, and design changes.
