Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop system solutions, including electrical hardware and control systems;
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system design specifications, integration plans, test reports and as-built documentation;
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate system operation, performance, and compliance to project specifications;
  • Conduct system-level testing and verifications validate the functionality and performance of integrated BESS components;
  • Collaborate with software developers to implement custom control algorithms and optimize system performance;
  • Analyze system performance data, Identify potential issues or improvements, and propose solutions to optimize BESS performance and efficiency;
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve technical issues, troubleshoot system integration problems, and ensure timely project delivery;
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development;
  • Provide technical expertise and support to sales and business development teams during the pre-sales phase, including system design, technical proposals, and customer presentations;
  • Stay updated with the industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to Battery Energy Storage Systems;
  • System integration planning and system design and integration.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field. Master´s degree is a plus;
  • Proven experience in system integration and commisioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems, preferrably up to 10 Megawatts;
  • In-depth knowledge of battery technologies, energy storage systems, power electronics, and control systems;
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, grid interfaces, communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, DNP3 or EMS);
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
