YOUR TASKS
- Analyze and resolve complex control issues within the wind turbine fleet, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an international environment
- Identify fault patterns and deviations to develop preventive measures, focusing on improving turbine reliability
- Design and enhance control functions for wind turbines based on insights from fleet analysis
- Implement control functions on programmable logic controllers (PLC) using a model-based design and automated code generation approach
- Define test and acceptance criteria for validating closed-loop control systems
- Ensure quality assurance through software testing, including SiL and HiL setups in the lab and on-site at wind turbines
- Prepare and maintain software documentation in compliance with internal standards
YOUR PROFILE
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Control, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
- Initial professional experience in a relevant field
- Proven experience in PLC software development using Matlab/Simulink (mandatory); familiarity with IEC 61131 is an advantage
- Programming skills in C/C++, Python, and version control systems (Git, SVN) are desirable
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP, CAN
- Strong knowledge of control design techniques, including robust control and Kalman filters
- Additional experience in predictive control, fault-tolerant control, system identification, and machine learning algorithms is a plus
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken); proficiency in Spanish and/or German is an asset
