You’ll take ownership of electronic modules such as flight controllers, sensors, and vision systems, leading PCB development from concept to mass production. In close collaboration with the team, you will develop solutions that enable visual navigation, AI-powered 3D mapping, autonomous cargo delivery and swarm coordination.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, prototype, and verify state-of-the-art avionics PCBs, sensors, and electronic modules for our drone platform, taking concepts from initial brainstorming all the way through to manufacturing;
  • Plan and execute PCB and product verification, including test case definition, execution and documentation. Perform electrical and mechanical validation, including EMI/EMC compliance testing, thermal cycling, mechanical shock testing, and HALT analysis;
  • Generate technical documentation, such as concepts, CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly guides, and repair manuals;
  • Collaborate with test engineering and production teams to transition hardware designs into production;
  • Work closely with our customer success teams to define hardware requirements, align system architecture and interfaces, and assess feedback from the field;
  • Support customer success and system integration teams with your electronics expertise to ensure smooth integration and deployment of our drone systems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering;
  • 3+ years of experience in PCB design and electronic product development, including prototyping, layout, and bringing products from concept to production;
  • Experience in designing high-density, high-speed and mixed-signal PCBs, including layout considerations for signal integrity, impedance control, and noise mitigation;
  • Hands-on experience with PCB verification and testing processes, covering signal integrity analysis, EMC and EMI troubleshooting and power integrity validation;
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer is highly desirable;
  • Experience in drone, UAV, or robotics systems is an advantage;
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude and the energy to tackle technical challenges as they arise;
