Mixed-Signal & Hardware Verification Engineer
Melexis Microelectronic Integrated Systems
Dresden, Germany
Your future job
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mixed-Signal & Hardware Verification Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This unique role combines the challenges of intricate circuit simulation with hands-on laboratory measurement and system-level analysis. You will be responsible for ensuring the robustness and performance of our cutting-edge mixed-signal integrated circuits and modules, from initial design simulations to final hardware validation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both simulation methodologies on PC-based platforms and practical experience with advanced measurement techniques in a lab environment.
More specifically, you will:
- For both areas:
- Develop and execute verification plans to verify mixed-signal ICs;
- Define and develop test cases for the verification of IC parameters based on the respective device specifications;
- Analyze simulation and verification results, identify design issues, and collaborate with design engineers to resolve them;
- Analyze verification results and prepare comprehensive test reports.
- Mixed-Signal Simulation (PC-based):
- Develop behavioral models and test benches to perform system and block level simulations;
- Create, run, and debug complex simulations using industry-standard simulators;
- Act as an interface between analog, digital, software and test development.
- Hardware Verification & Measurement (Lab-based):
- Develop a setup with a high level of automation;
- Loadboard schematic design using Altium Designer;
- Testcase development using NI LabVIEW on a NI PXI station;
- Defining hardware needs for applying stimuli to the IC;
- Collaborate closely with design, system, and test engineers to correlate hardware measurements with simulation results;
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues observed during verification.
Your profile
- Master's degree in electronic or Microelectronics;
- Proven experience in mixed-signal verification;
- Demonstrable experience in hardware verification and laboratory measurement of ICs or electronic modules;
- Proficiency in using a wide range of electronic test and measurement equipment;
- Experience with scripting languages;
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken);
- Experience with Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog, or UVM;
- Knowledge of specific communication protocols (e.g., SENT, SPC, SPI, I2C);
- Familiarity with PCB design and layout considerations for testability;
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis software (e.g., LabVIEW, Python).
- Understanding of DFT (Design for Test) principles.
