System Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a System Engineer to join its office in Torino within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.

Mission

The System Engineer focuses on avionic system verification, and Product qualification and certification ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role will be engaged in continuous on-field learning and development to expand personal knowledge of electronic system technologies and practices.

Key Accountabilities

Design and Development:

  • Customer requirements analysis
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Design and optimize avionicsystems and system requirements creation
  • Wiring/electric diagrams analysis
  • Design and project of the system mockup

Testing and Validation:

  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the avionic systems to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Utilize simulation software and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methods to validate system functionality.
  • Analyze test data and provide detailed reports and recommendations for system improvements.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with software engineers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate flight systems and simulators with broader aerospace projects.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning sessions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers as needed.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

  • Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates on existing models and control systems.
  • Implement significant upgrades and enhancements to improve system performance and incorporate new technologies.
  • Ensure all systems comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Documentation and Training:

  • Develop comprehensive user manuals, technical documentation, and training materials for flight simulation systems.
  • Conduct advanced training sessions for end-users, including pilots and maintenance personnel, on the operation and maintenance of developed flight systems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Aerospace Engineering.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in aerospace engineering or related fields.
  • Proven Radio Frequency (RF) signals knowledge
  • Proven experience in reading Wiring/Electric diagrams
  • Proven knowledge of communication protocols (RS232, RS422, RS485, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet)
  • Strong understanding of aircraft mission systems.
  • Proficiency in designing and optimizing flight control systems.
  • Proficiency in laboratory equipment usage (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Advanced programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, LUA.
