Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Moldflow Engineer with a strong background in automotive lighting to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing advanced injection molding simulations, optimizing mold designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and cost-effective plastic components for automotive lighting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Moldflow simulations (filling, packing, cooling, warpage) for automotive lighting components.
  • Analyze simulation results and provide actionable recommendations to improve part design, mold design, and process parameters.
  • Collaborate with design, tooling, and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of plastic parts.
  • Support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews and provide technical guidance during product development.
  • Validate simulation results through correlation with actual molding trials and part measurements.
  • Identify and resolve molding-related issues such as weld lines, air traps, sink marks, and warpage.
  • Maintain documentation of simulation reports, design changes, and engineering decisions.
  • Stay updated with the latest Moldflow software capabilities and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field;
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Moldflow analysis, preferably in the automotive lighting industry;
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Moldflow or Moldex3D;
  • Strong understanding of injection molding processes (2K, 3K), materials (especially PC, PMMA, PC+ABS, ABS), and tooling;
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks);
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and quality requirements (e.g., APQP, PPAP);
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities;
  • Communication in English;
  • Driving license.
