Your tasks

• Lead the design, implementation, optimization and assessment of advanced energy storage systems to support OMV Petrom’s renewable energy strategy;
• Ensure high performance, safety, and regulatory compliance of power storage infrastructure across operational sites;
• Design and oversee deployment of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid storage solutions;
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new storage projects;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage with renewable generation assets;
• Monitor system performance and implement predictive maintenance strategies;
• Ensure compliance with Romanian and EU energy regulations and safety standards;
• Lead technical knowledge and innovation initiatives in energy storage technologies;
• Maintain updated knowledge of different storage technologies, acting as internal expert of reference;
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies for strategic fit;
• Provide expert guidance in troubleshooting and system optimization;
• Support budgeting and forecasting for storage-related CAPEX/OPEX;
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Your profile

• Education: Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field;
• Relevant professional experiente: > 9 years;
• Battery technologies (Li-ion, flow batteries);
• Power electronics and grid interface;
• Energy management systems (EMS);
• Regulatory compliance and safety standards.
