About the job

Responsible for all aspects of large scale, complex offshore equipment commissioning, start-up, technical support and field service lifecycle of Power and Offshore Oil & Gas systems including customer relationship management, troubleshooting and aftersales support.

  • Customer focus, key stakeholder engagement, collaboration and communication for commissioning and service-related activities;
  • Deep understanding of project specific requirements and process workflow for site commissioning execution, system operation and delivery;
  • Comprehensive knowledge in systems of work including ISO and matters relating to HSE such as PTW, commissioning procedures, shipyard/fabricator/offshore and process plant safety;
  • Detailed knowledge and execution of process, mechanical, electrical and automation related to Gas Systems in accordance with company and customer requirements;
  • Create service procedures and schedules for all process, mechanical, electrical and control automation tasks relating to HGS systems;
  • Deep knowledge of HGS surrounding environment such as upstream/downstream, interface and dependant processes and systems across process, mechanical, electrical and controls;
  • Manages all aspects of commissioning and service-related standard and project specific documentation and deliverables related primarily to Gas System and desirable to have Boiler Systems knowledge;
  • Ensure compliance with customer and project specifications as well as statutory regulations and classifications society related site activity;
  • Manage 3rd party or sub-contract commissioning or service personnel in accordance company requirements;
  • Customer focal point for service lifecycle of HGS equipment including technical support, troubleshooting, callouts, system monitoring, health checks, training, surveys, spares and aftersales enquiries;
  • Champion continuous improvement and actively seek innovation in our business;
  • Ensure relevant documents, certifications and training are valid and up to date.

Further, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification;
  • 10 years total experience out of which 5 years in a similar industry related position;
  • Advanced/well-developed skills, knowledge and experience within the following disciplines is expected: Offshore and marine plant safety;
  • Experience with gas handling systems (Inert Gas Generation/Exhaust Gas Cleaning), Combustion, Steam, Heat Transfer and Fuel Handling;
  • Experience with safety shutdown systems including PLC logic and HMI (Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley Rockwell & Siemens);
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment such as fans & pumps;
  • Good communication skills in English, written and spoken;
  • Ability to travel regularly, both onshore shipyard, offshore and power plant for medium durations with office-based time in-between assignments.
