Main responsibilities

Project delivery

  • Capacity to Manage investment projects beyond 15M€ for France;
  • Lead the process equipment packages for major investment projects;
  • Fully understand contents of URS and challenge what could be technically optimized;
  • Write or make writing full Request for Quotation (RFQ), capability to challenge and re-orientate RFQ process to meet the objectives of the project;
  • Develop a partnership with future users and stakeholders for optimizing the Request for Quotation phases of the project;
  • Contribute to Identify with project leader and Site Engineering Head appropriate staffing for the project organization;
  • Ensure that EHS, Quality standards are implemented & validated before execution focus on design equipment to cost solutions;
  • Collaborate transversally with Global functions, particularly with MSAT & Sites to define for each key project steps optimized process equipment solutions;
  • Leverage Global Engineering expertise & know-how to support the systems leaders on specific & complex technical challenges;
  • Build and sustain high performance technical team with a focus on transmission from senior leader to newcomers;
  • Ensure transversal alignment and governance with Project and Site leadership teams for efficient & effective decision making;
  • Anticipate, confirm & communicate project risks on & across the site;
  • Create & track action plans to manage risk all along the project;
  • Assist Site teams (Operations & Quality) & MSAT during PQ & validation activities before full handover.

Project & Maintenance activities

  • Ensure risk analysis, FMEA including Digital for critical assets is deployed during the project to ensure a relevant preventive & predictive maintenance plan is ready before start-up;
  • Ensure assets reliability and maintainability by design.

Project & sustainability key input

  • Ensure that by CO2 emission, energy and utilities are as lower as possible by design assuming that for a new building or extension (HVAC included), target is zero emission;
  • Ensure planet care group targets.

About you

Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior Engineering, medium/large project in process equipment management, for bulk (upstream and downstream) major projects.

Technical skills:

  • Good experience in Engineering & Technical Management, very knowledgeable in biotechnology bulk process;
  • Abilify to influence and build relationships across the organization;
  • Engineering & Manufacturing site operations;
  • Large project execution, management of technical teams;
  • Leadership skills demonstrated with successful & managing transversal international team;
  • 10+ years of experience in management/execution of large capital investments in the biopharmaceutical industry/design of bio/pharma process unit operations.

Education:

  • Engineering or Science equivalent degree;
  • Large Process equipment background is a must;
  • Project management background required with PMP designation a bonus;
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across the organization.

Languages:

  • Fluent English spoken and written compulsory;
  • French spoken a definite asset.
