THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Systems Integration Engineer who will be responsible for embedding systems engineering best practices throughout our engineering processes and facilitating the technical integration of our Molten Salt Reactor systems and their maritime platform. You will be an integral part of the Engineering department and will interface and collaborate with teams of physicists, engineers, and chemists to ensure seamless integration of the design across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Integrate systems engineering best practices into our engineering processes and scaling them appropriately through design phases and company growth;
  • Support technical integration activities (both between reactor systems, and reactor to the barge);
  • Own the requirements management framework, ensuring consistency, tracking of ongoing verification and validation, and managing interfaces with technical risks;
  • Facilitate system architecture definition and change management;
  • Manage traceability between engineering, simulation, R&D and prototyping activities, improving and formalising approaches to V&V;
  • Own systems integration documentation including Architecture Documents, Interface Control Documents, Requirements Matrices, and V&V Plans.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • MSc. or equivalent in systems engineering, nuclear engineering, or mechanical engineering;
  • 8+ years' experience in systems engineering with requirements management, systems integration, and technical architecture definition;
  • Nuclear systems integration experience with understanding of regulatory frameworks, safety cases, and licensing requirements;
  • V&V process knowledge for safety-critical systems, including planning, execution, and documentation;
  • Cross-functional project experience working effectively across diverse internal engineering disciplines.

  • You have excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse technical teams and align understanding across disciplines;
  • You have strong attention to detail with a finisher mentality, ensuring integration work is complete, traceable, and meets safety and engineering standards.
