What we expect

• Development of VCSEL technology, including for data communication;
• Innovative advancement and optimization of VCSEL component properties;
• Integration of VCSELs into novel applications through close collaboration with process development and manufacturing interfaces;
• Sustainable, systematic resolution of complex design and process-related issues;
• In-depth analysis of influencing parameters on component properties and cross-process understanding of interactions.

Who we are looking for

• Successfully completed (technical) university degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable technical/scientific field of study;
• Solid professional experience in the VCSEL and semiconductor industry required;
• Experience with high-frequency technology for data communication as well as aging mechanisms and reliability of VCSEL components;
• Profound knowledge in semiconductor technology and/or device physics;
• Broad knowledge of available frontend processes;
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style;
• High level of problem-solving ability and analytical thinking;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken; medium German skills are desirable.
