Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator

The Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the flow of materials and products, from supplier selection and monitoring through incoming inspection, inventory control, logistics, and final delivery. This role plays a critical part in ensuring material availability, supplier compliance, inventory accuracy, and timely delivery, supporting efficient production and engineering processes in line with AS9100 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business and operational goals;
- Identify, evaluate, and manage new and existing suppliers; maintain up-to-date supplier documentation and certifications;
- Monitor supplier performance (delivery time, quality, responsiveness), escalate non-conformances, and support audits or evaluations with Quality and Engineering;
- Coordinate with Procurement to track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and resolve issues related to order confirmations, shipping, and delays;
- Ensure all logistics documentation (packing lists, CoCs, shipping notices) is accurate and complete;
- Oversee material receipt with warehouse or quality teams and ensure incoming inspection is conducted according to internal procedures;
- Ensure traceability and proper labeling of all received materials and components;
- Maintain accurate stock levels in ERP/MRP systems and manage physical or cycle inventory counts;
- Identify and manage excess, slow-moving, or obsolete inventory in collaboration with relevant departments;
- Provide regular updates to production and engineering on material availability, shortages, and delivery timelines;
- Collaborate with planning and production teams to ensure timely material readiness for production runs;
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 requirements;
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain processes, documentation, and system efficiency;
- Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing supply chain-related data and records.
Logistics and Delivery Management:
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely and accurate shipments;
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements;
- Ensure accuracy of orders and shipping documents; identify and rectify shipping errors;
- Prepare bills and invoices related to shipments;
- Manage distribution and shipment budgets, seeking cost-effective transportation solutions;
- Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized;
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction;
- Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, and shipping activities;
- Prepare accurate reports for upper management regarding logistics performance.
Basic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field;
- Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel (or other reporting tools);
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work cross-functionally with suppliers, quality, engineering, and production teams;
- Good command of both German and English (spoken and written) is required to communicate effectively in a technical and professional environment.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or materials coordination role;
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100) is a strong plus.
