Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer

We are looking for an experienced composite sizing engineer (m/f/d) to oversee HyImpulse mechanical sizing activities. In addition to tackling the most challenging analysis across the whole rocket, you bring your experience to support your colleagues, with guidance and regular analysis reviews. By exchanging with design responsibles from other teams, you define the best approach to qualify the component and give design directions. Finally, you will make sure the team obtains the right material properties to support accurate analysis results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the designer in the early phase of architecture definition;
• Definition of sizing criteria and theoretical qualification strategy;
• Analysis and optimization of the design;
• Documentation of the theoretical qualification process;
• Correlation between analysis and test results;
• Analysis of other sub-systems against mechanical loads, including payload integration studies;
• Manage HyImpulse’s material database;
• Planification of R&D activities and coupon tests.

Basic Qualification:

• Master’s degree in aerospace, automotive or mechanical engineering.

Desired Experience:

• 10+ years of experience as a mechanical analyst in one of the following sectors: aerospace, defence or motorsport;
• Extensive experience with composite materials in different forms;
• Has experienced all the steps involved in structure design and analysis;
• Experience with missiles or launchers will be appreciated;
• Experience with the following softwares will be appreciated:
  • Teamcenter;
  • NX X;
  • Hypermesh/Optistruct.
