As our Munitions Design Engineer, you’ll lead the research, development, and integration of advanced payload solutions, ensuring our UAVs are mission-ready with unmatched precision. What You’ll Do
- Design & Develop – Engineer cutting edge muntions, ensuring seamless integration into UAV platforms for maximum efficiency and impact;
- Production Support – Ensure effective deployment of prototypes into production through accurate product data management, PMI generation and drafting. Manage NPI activities;
- Test & Validate – Conduct rigorous testing, simulation, and validation processes to ensure payload performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards;
- Innovate & Optimize – Research the latest advancements in ammunition technology, fuzing, and drone payload delivery systems to stay ahead of the curve;
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with avionics, software, and flight operations teams to ensure the perfect synergy between payload, drone architecture, and mission objectives;
- Conduct Risk Assessments – Identify potential risks, analyze their probability and severity, and define mitigation measures to enhance operational reliability;
- Documentation & Reporting – Maintain detailed technical documentation, test reports, and design iterations to support continuous improvement and compliance.
Requirements
What You’ll Need
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field;
- Proven experience in munition design and/or electromechanical system design;
- Experienced in product NPI activities and data management;
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (drafting & design);
- Experienced in product testing & verification;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- English proficiency (it’s our working language!).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in military-grade payload systems or defense-related projects;
- Familiarity with ballistics, impact physics, and warhead technology;
- Knowledge of UAV payload integration and function;
- Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus;
- Experience with explosive ordnance and safety regulations.
