The role
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing strategic projects, that continue to mature our innovative company. Your primary responsibility will be to manage strategy execution projects towards successful delivery, while closely working together with operational management and senior management, keeping track of progress, quality and costs. You will collaborate closely with departments such as Operations, R&D, and our Commerce teams, to implement strategically relevant initiatives. These can vary from improving our assembly process, innovating with strategic partners, managing risks in our supply chain etc. We recognize this role as a stepping stone towards future management positions.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Project Planning and Scope Management
- Define Project Scope: Clearly outline project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
- Develop Detailed Project Plan: Break down the project into phases, tasks, and milestones. Assign responsibilities and allocate resources.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the project goals and scope from the beginning.
Risk Management
- Identify Risks: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges or issues that could affect the project.
- Develop Mitigation Plans: Create risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential risks.
Team Leadership and Coordination
- Lead Project Teams: Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective collaboration.
- Resource Management: Ensure the project team has the necessary resources, skills, and support to execute tasks.
Budget and Resource Management
- Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring costs stay within the allocated resources.
- Optimize Resource Utilization: Ensure resources (both human and material) are used efficiently to meet project goals.
Project Monitoring and Control
- Track Progress: Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the project's progress against the plan.
- Adapt and Adjust: Make necessary adjustments to timelines, resources, or approaches when issues arise.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the deliverables meet the required quality standards.
Change Management
- Engage Stakeholders: Identify key stakeholders (both internal and external) and maintain strong communication with them.
- Manage Expectations: Regularly update stakeholders on progress, challenges, and any scope or timeline changes.
- Adapt to Organizational Changes: Adjust the project approach based on changes within the organization or external environment.
Communication and Reporting
- Regular Reporting: Provide consistent updates on project status to stakeholders and senior management, highlighting achievements, risks, and decisions.
- Effective Communication Channels: Establish clear communication channels for both the project team and stakeholders.
- Presentations to Leadership: Summarize progress, strategic impact, and outcomes for senior leadership.
Closing and Handover
- Project Closure: Ensure all deliverables are completed, quality-checked, and accepted by the stakeholders.
- Handover: Transfer ownership of the project's outcomes to the relevant teams or departments for long-term management.
- Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct lessons-learned sessions and create a post-project evaluation to document what worked well and what could be improved.

Positional and educational requirements
- A degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines. An MBA or a Master’s in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 5-10+ years of experience in managing projects, preferably with exposure to both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience working on projects that have high strategic value to the organization, such as cross-functional, large-scale, or high-stakes initiatives.
- Certified ScrumMaster, or Agile Safe.
