Embedded Hardware Engineer
Rimac Automobili
Zagreb, Croatia
Regular tasks
- Design requirements: Design hardware according to defined system requirements, ensuring all technical specifications are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and write clear, testable hardware requirements.
- Electronics Design: Develop hardware (schematic and layout) for traction inverter control systems, including gate drivers, isolated power supplies, current sensors (Hall effect), EMI filters, etc. Perform circuit simulation and analysis to optimize performance and ensure design robustness using simulation tools such as LTSpice, TINA, PDN analyzer and similar.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and solve hardware bugs and issues with emphasis on EMI/EMC to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Testing: Conduct validation, verification, and development testing of hardware components.
- Work in laboratory: Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting using state-of-art lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams: Work closely with the mechanical, embedded software, system and other engineering teams to ensure integrated product development.
Occasional tasks
Prototyping: Build and test prototype PCBs using hand tools and soldering equipment.
Design for FuSa Compliance: Collaborate with Functional Safety teams to integrate safety principles (ISO 26262) into hardware design.
Embedded Software Integration: Occasionally write or review C code for prototyping.
