What You ‘ll Be Doing:
- Participate in the design phase with activities such as selection of cables and electrical/electronic parts, creation of bill of materials, preparation of electrical schematics and wire drawings, creation of cable lists, and design of electrical cabinets.
- Setting up of testbeds required for integration and testing of prototype systems, assisted by the appropriate system engineering, hardware design and software development resources.
- Electrical Integration of prototype systems, with the assistance of technicians and under mechanical engineering guidance.
- Work in collaboration with system architects and other system engineers during Validation and Commissioning phases to meet project schedule (customer acceptance tests).
- Provision of objective feedback regarding the functionality and performance of the system to software and hardware development and business user teams.
- Supporting of customer acceptance testing (preparation of factory and site acceptance test plans and test procedures, identified issues tracking, resolution and re-testing).
- Field support for system evaluation (site survey, installation design, installation execution, system setting to work).
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Electrical Engineering education with focus on the Energy Sector.
- Familiarity with energy industry equipment (e.g. inverters, chargers, battery energy storage systems).
- Good knowledge of common interconnecting digital buses, e.g. RS-485, RS-232, CAN bus, Modbus, IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet).
- Availability for travelling.
Desired:
- Proven working experience in areas such as PVs, BESSs, grids/microgrids, transmission lines, generators and/or power conversion would be ideal.
- Design and overview of electrical panels for low voltage applications.
- Knowledge of EPLAN or another similar tool.
