Responsibilities
- Analyze and enhance existing production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards;
- Develop, implement, and monitor process improvements that align with department objectives;
- Create and maintain all process relevant Process Engineering documents (Work instructions, CAD Virtual Builds, mBOM, BoP, assembly sequence, PFMEA etc.);
- Work with production teams to troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions in line with process engineer responsibilities;
- Assess new project feasibility by calculating key manufacturing concept parameters (takt time, cycle time, production output, investment etc.);
- Participate in DFM/A sessions with key stakeholder (R&D, Ind. Engineering, Quality, purchasing etc.);
- Coordinate closely with Industrialization team (NPI and Tools & Automation) to develop manufacturing concept and integrate new processes and technologies;
- Support R&D in developing key process technologies such as welding, dispensing and testing;
- Assist in training operational teams on new processes and best practices;
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within existing processes and develop practical solutions;
- Apply data-driven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools to drive efficiency;
- Ensure all processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols;
- Prepare and present reports on process performance, improvement initiatives, and key findings to senior management;
- Contribute to strategic decision-making regarding process optimization and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Fluency in English, written and spoken;
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field);
- Previous experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical role;
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.);
- Experience with CAD Software (Catia, Solidworks, AutoCAD);
- Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA;
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (Mechanical and Electrical);
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to take a ‘hands-on approach’ when required;
- Knowledge of industry standards, quality assurance, and safety regulations;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
- Strong organizational and documentation skills;
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
Considered as an Advantage
- Knowledge of PLM software (Delmia, Siemens Teamcenter or similar);
- Experience in mid-high volume automotive production;
- Experience in component and or battery assembly;
- Experience in selecting and implementing mid-high volume production equipment.
