Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of mechanical design for battery pack components and assemblies;
  • Ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and performance in design concepts;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and quality;
  • Provide technical direction and support for prototyping, testing, and validation;
  • Optimize cost, weight, and structural integrity of battery components;
  • Maintain documentation for all design decisions and development processes.

Main tasks

  • Develop and refine CAD models and technical drawings for battery components;
  • Lead design reviews, ensuring compliance with engineering standards;
  • Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to optimize designs for production;
  • Design custom tools, jigs, and fixtures for product development and assembly;
  • Conduct material selection analysis to improve performance and durability;
  • Collaborate with testing teams to validate designs through simulations and real-world testing;
  • Perform verification activities to ensure reliability and durability of your design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
  • Experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive or battery systems;
  • Proficiency in CAD software (3DX, SolidWorks, or similar);
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering standards;
  • Ability to analyze and optimize designs for efficiency and performance;
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken);
  • At least 2 years of experience in automotive industry.
