MAIN ACTIVITIES
Reporting to the head of the Consulting & Studies group of the Decarbonization & Consulting department, the Project Manager will be responsible for carrying out pre-project studies (Master Plan, pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, conceptual study, bankable study , etc.).
Within the scope of the study, he supervises a team of project engineers and/or LP (linear programming) engineers, and manages the activities carried out in subcontracting with internal and external partners (EPC, IFPEN, external experts, external consultants , …) so as to integrate and synthesize all the elements making up the study.
In this context, your activities will be the following:
- Conduct studies with the aim of meeting the specifications of the study and obtaining the satisfaction of its client;
- Manage his team, ensure the quality of the deliverables, the respect of the deadlines and the budget, by using the methodology of coordination and project management;
- Provide and share feedback from projects within the Decarbonization & Consulting Department;
- Establish and coordinate serene and effective relationships with internal/external partners and subcontractors;
- Check, validate the technical reports and the presentations prepared by the members of the project team;
- Participate and lead meetings with the client, present and argue the results;
- Report regularly on the progress of business to the head of the Consulting & Studies group;
- Write technical and commercial offers in the proposal phase;
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts with customers and subcontractors;
- Contribute according to opportunities to the marketing actions of the department, including participation in conferences & seminars;
- Participate in the work of in-house tools development, and constitute of the various knowledge bases of the department, including the technological watch;
- Participation in field assignments, mainly in the context of energy efficiency studies or decarbonization audits.
KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS
With an engineering degree or equivalent, in process/chemical engineering, you have at least ten years in the field of crude oil refining or petrochemicals, ideally in process department on site, industrial facilities operations, technical assistance on site or at the headquarters (as subject matter expert).
Moreover, you have a successful experience as a team leader and/or project manager.
You must know investment cost structures & project profitability criteria and you have basic knowledge concerning utilities, off-sites, infrastructures.
Skills in writing technical reports and writing presentations of study results are required.
Your level of English is absolutely fluent.

- You are available for short business trips.
