HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Our Hardware team in Stockholm, Sweden, is looking for an Opto Engineer. This position will be on-site with focus on labwork.

As an Opto Engineer you may:

• Participate as opto resource in different development projects;
• Characterize optical performance on pluggable transceivers;
• Work with advanced optical technologies like xQAM, Coherent systems, ROADMs, EDFA;
• Write with clarity detailed test plans, and test reports;
• Work with pre-studies on new technologies or special use-cases;
• Support your colleagues and share knowledge with them;
• Work closely with cross functional product development teams in software, mechanical, and test software.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• M.Sc. or PhD. in Physics, Telecommunication, or similar, with a few years of industry experience;
• Fundamental understanding of fiber optics for telecommunications. Component level and/or on system level;
• Experience from work in HW/Opto laboratory with test instruments like BERT, OSA, High speed oscilloscopes;
• Experience from test automation for lab application using Python, Matlab or similar;
• The candidate shall be flexible, innovative and driven;
• The candidate shall be structured and thorough;
• The candidate shall have good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
