The Role

We are seeking a skilled Robotics Software Engineer - Embedded Hardware (m/f/d) to join the Software Team within our robotics division, focused on developing unmanned ground vehicles for both governmental and civilian applications. In this role, you will program and design the computing hardware of our robot ensuring secure and efficient operation of our robotic platforms. This position is ideal for those passionate about advancing robotics and applying software skills to solve real-world challenges in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Design and improve our robotics software platform and integrate new hardware;
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver and refine integrated robotic solutions;
Integrate, test and validate hardware-software integrations, ensuring high reliability, security, and operational standards;
Document technical processes and configurations to streamline knowledge sharing and support collaboration.

Your Profile

Proficiency in C++;
Background in sensor and actuator programming with knowledge of electronic and computing components;
Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, serial) and networking standards like TCP/IP;
Familiarity with real-time software and safety-critical systems;
Familiarity with optimisation and customising of Nvidia Jetpack Images with Linux;
Familiarity with Linux Kernel modifications for hardware drivers (e.g. GMSL, RTOS);
Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach, capable of working both independently and within agile teams;
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics, or a related field;
Proficiency in English is required (German is a plus).
