As a Powerplant Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the performance and reliability of our fleet’s engines and APUs. From analyzing technical documentation to forecasting shop visits and optimizing maintenance strategies, your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency and cost savings.
How will you contribute to our success?
- Powerplant Reliability & Performance – Monitor and analyze engine and APU health to ensure optimal efficiency and minimize disruptions.
- Technical documentation management – Review, distribute, and maintain essential ADs, VSBs, and OEM documentation to keep our fleet compliant and up to date.
- Maintenance planning & support – Forecast and track engine and APU shop visits, optimizing maintenance schedules and minimizing downtime. Support the analysis of maintenance program effectiveness.
- Fleet maintenance oversight – Assist in the upkeep of CFM56-5B engines, 131-9A, APS3200 APUs, and nacelles, ensuring operational readiness.
- Cross-department collaboration – Provide technical support to Planning, MCC, and Transitions, ensuring smooth operations and informed decision-making.
- Troubleshooting & work packages – Develop powerplant-related documentation, troubleshooting guides, and engine replacement work packages for efficient maintenance execution.
- Reliability & cost optimization – Conduct reliability analyses to enhance powerplant performance, reduce costs, and improve long-term efficiency.
- Phase-In & phase-out management – Oversee engine transitions, ensuring seamless entry and exit from service with accurate documentation and compliance checks.
- On-site technical support – Occasionally represent Volotea during aircraft base maintenance, ensuring quality standards and operational requirements are met.
What will make you succeed in this position:
- Degree in Aircraft Engineering or similar.
- 3+ Years in CAMO Engineering – Powerplant experience preferred.
- Previous experience working with A320 & CFM manuals.
- EASA regulations expertise.
- Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.
- AMOS proficiency.
- Analytical & service-oriented, key for problem-solving and operations support.
