The opportunity - Shape your influential role
In our state-of-the-art laboratory, you will develop and optimize innovative high-voltage pulse generators for a wide range of applications in pulsed power electronics. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, construction and support of high-performance HV generators and work closely with our teams of experts.
We are looking for an engineer to drive our high-voltage technologies forward and set new standards:
- Design & build new high-voltage pulse generators: You design and build innovative HV generators that are characterized by fast switching times and high efficiency.
- Management of multiple HV generators for laboratory applications: You will take responsibility for managing and monitoring the generators in our lab to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Development & use of HV generators in the field: In addition to laboratory applications, you will work on the implementation and monitoring of our generators for use in the field.
- Design, development & procurement of HV measurement systems: You will be responsible for selecting and implementing state-of-the-art measurement techniques to ensure the performance and reliability of our systems.
Your profile - face challenges and develop yourself further
- Expertise: You bring solid knowledge of Marx, LTD, LCG, Spiral, DSRD- and SOS- diode generators.
- Previous experience: You are familiar with impedance matching such as pulse forming lines and transformer hysteresis modifications as well as circuit cooling.
- Transistor know-how: Knowledge of gate boosting for transistors (MOSFET, SiC, GaN) is an advantage.
- Energy efficiency optimization: You have a strong interest and knowledge in maximizing the energy efficiency of pulsed power systems.
- Expansion of expertise: Enthusiasm for the development of energy-efficient high-voltage pulses in the ns range with high repetition frequencies.
Special knowledge
- Completed university degree (Master's or doctorate) in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Doctoral programs can be supported and/or initiated by us!
- Understanding of high-voltage safety regulations and standards.
- Practical experience with high voltage systems (>10kV) and pulse power applications (>1kHz, >10 mJ per pulse).
- Professional experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
- If applicable, management experience and experience in developing products from laboratory scale to market readiness.
- Fluency in English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
