Your Role:
- You will establish a system architectural design and identify which system requirements are to be allocated to which elements of the system, and to evaluate the system architectural design against defined criteria.
- Decompose customer capabilities to atomic functions assigned as per internal Architecture Handbook and UML/SYSML rules
- Create logical, technical and functional decompositions of a given product, defining static and dynamic behavour of a product
- Define interfaces and ports, providing input to system integration testing
- You will operate in Polarion and Enterprise Architect tools in everyday work and you will also be resposible for ASPICE compliance on SYS1-3 levels during projects execution.
- Cooperate with other competencies (SW/HW/Tests) to secure delivery of products fulfilling Customer, Aptiv internal, legal, etc standards and requirements
Your backgroud:
- IT/Automation/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar graduate
- Previous experienced in analog and digital signal processing and System/Product UML modelling.
- Experience with ASPICE V-model regarding System Engineering processes (SYS1-SYS3)
- Experience as System Engineer/Function Owner, Validation and Testing would be an asset
- Wide knowledge about audio and vision systems (signals, dependencies, boundaries, technical solutions)
Major Accountabilities:
- Lead the design and development of product system architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Define the overall structure, components, interfaces, and behaviors of complex automotive systems to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Analyze the capabilities and limitations of product systems to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize stakeholder requirements to define clear and comprehensive system requirements.
- Develop and document system requirements using standardized formats and tools such as DOORS to facilitate traceability and validation.
- Define and manage the interfaces between system components, subsystems, and external entities, including hardware, software, and communication protocols.
- Utilize MBSE methodologies and tools such as SysML to model, simulate, and analyze system architectures and behaviors.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards, vulnerabilities, and threats to system integrity, reliability, and safety.
- Develop validation and verification plans to ensure that system requirements are adequately validated and verified.
- Define test cases, procedures, and acceptance criteria to assess system performance, functionality, and compliance with requirements.
- Establish and maintain configuration management processes and procedures to manage changes to system architecture, components, and configuration.
- Perform FMEA to systematically identify potential failure modes, their effects, and the likelihood of occurrence within the system.
- Use SysML to model system architectures, requirements, behaviors, and interactions, facilitating system-level analysis and design.
- Use Polarion to manage system requirements, test cases, and verification activities in an integrated environment.
- Implement On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) standards and protocols to monitor and diagnose vehicle systems and components.
- Configure, analyze, and validate Controller Area Network (CAN) communication networks for use in automotive systems.
