DMU Supervisor & Weight Engineer

General Summary:

This position reports to the Chief Designer or their designee; is located in Maranello, Italy. Responsible for maintaining DMU and car weight model up to date, accurate and complete.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
Ensure accuracy of DMU and Weight model working closely with all the Design groups.
Ensure DMU structure is respected during all design phases: from concept to emission.
Calculate and document weights of all design components.
Monitor weight changes during in-season updates and new car design reporting them to the Chief Designer.
Collaborate with CAD Methodology group defining new procedures to streamline processes mentioned above.
Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
Other duties as assigned by the Chief Designer or their designee.

Education and Work Experience:

Must be graduate in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least three years in a professional motorsports’ environment (F1 is the preferred one). CAD design experience in an F1 Team is also a very good add on.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Have an excellent understanding of racing car architecture.

Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
