About the role
As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will form part of a multidisciplinary team engaged in design, manufacturing, transportation & installation, and commissioning verification activities together with our structural, fire & safety, and E&I engineering teams located across our European offices (locations include Copenhagen, Esbjerg, Hamburg, and Oslo).
In this role you will:
- Cover all steps in the certification process from review of early designs to design verification, fabrication surveillance, transportation & installation, commissioning, and periodic inspection of installations in operation;
- Some travel will be required within Europe, possibly further abroad, but such travel is usually flexible.
About you
To be successful in this role you need to have:
- Electrical Engineering degree (M.Sc) or equivalent;
- 4-5 years of relevant professional experience from a similar position, preferably from the consulting or engineering sector: oil & gas or renewable energy;
- Strong English skills (written and spoken);
- Knowledge of relevant IEC standards and CIGRE Technical Brochures and ideally the essential criteria concerning subsea power cable design, testing, and manufacturing;
- Ability to perform relevant spot checks, or independent analysis, of subsea cable electrical designs;
- Experience with manufacturing and FAT surveys, or offshore installation witnessing, will be seen as positive.
As a person you should be a team player with strong communication skills, able to keep a positive and proactive attitude, with a solution-oriented, pragmatic, and flexible mindset. It is crucial to have strong customer centricity and ability to convey the added value of DNV services. Also, the ability to work in depth with assignments and having a good balance between detail and overview is a key to succeed in this role.
