Job description

The Project Engineer is responsible for several very important tasks throughout the assigned projects with regards to the design and manufacturing of pump seal systems and compressor systems. The Project Engineer will be screening biddings and specs in order to create a good image of the scope. Next to this, the Project Engineer is also responsible for making process calculations and estimations of occurrences. What happens if we follow the given client process specifications? Extensive comprehension of these manufacturing process and following the safety regulations is necessary.

Accountabilities

  • Design dry gas seal and pump auxiliary systems for the petrochemical, refining, and power industries;
  • Troubleshoot dry gas and pump auxiliary support system problems and provide customers with valid and cost-effective solutions;
  • Provide technical quotations, enter resulting purchase orders, and follow through to completion while proactively communicating with management and customers;
  • Form interpersonal relationships with your assigned set of customers;
  • Be extremely detailed oriented and able to work in a quick paced environment, while prioritizing daily requests and balancing customers' requirements;
  • The Project Engineer supports the functional concept in 3D;
  • Effectively determine market and industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer activity, and present that information to outside sales representatives and management;
  • Work closely with manufacturing and production to ensure order correctness and on-time delivery.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor or MSc. Degree Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering; with at least
  • 2 years of relevant experience is a pré;
  • Technical knowledge of fluids, corrosion, erosion, materials, valve specifications, engineering drawings;
  • Ability to correctly size and select control valves and apply severe service solutions;
  • Working knowledge of ASME, ISA, ANSI, and NACE industry standards;
  • Ability to interpret valve specification sheets and P&ID schematics;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experienced with 3D drawing software (e.g. Solid Works, AutoCad, Inventor;
  • Knowledge of ANSYS is a plus (CFD, FEA);
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
