In this role you will be the technical support for the Shops Network with the main responsibilities to create, modify and identify improvement projects to improve routers and work instruction with special focus on aeroderivative components. (fo example aero frame, aero hot gas component, aero modules).

As Heavy Duty Repair Network Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Creationmodificationoptimization of Master Router and work instruction according to REI, GEK, IRM or other applicable engineering standard;
  • Review the applicable tooling to perform repair activities and engage the proper team in case of missing;
  • Realization of new projects to improve and optimize actual repair methods;
  • Analysis of the existing best practice, repair method across Network to define a new process and procedure to increase the level of quality, reduce cost and cycle time (focus on productivity and efficiency), taking always in mind the HSE needs;
  • Deep dive analysis on completeness of router content in terms of applicable documents, engineering standard, acceptance criteria, check form, tools and work instruction to delivery to Operator a clear technical information to perform the repair according to the standard;
  • Support the Shops on use of Configurator and solve potential issue on digital tools;
  • Support the Shops during the introduction of new technologies or process.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a BSc from an accredited University or college with proven experience in Manufacturing (operational, manufacturing engineer, supply chain).​
  • Ability to interpret drawings, technical specification & other design details as indicated on construction drawing (like geometric dimensioning and tolerance)
  • Prior mechanical/electrical systems design, operation and modeling experience or equivalent experience as Manufacturing EngineerSpecialist is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience on aeroderivative technologies is preferred.
  • Must be able to interact successfully with Shop Manufacturing Engineers and work well within & between teams.
  • Good knowledge of HSE fundamentals
  • Good knowledge of Baker Hughes products
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
  • Strong communication and influencing skills;
  • Clear thinker, problem solving skills along with process improvement driven mindset;
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
