This is what you can do
The Chief Engineer Mechanical Systems (f/m/d) is responsible and accountable for the following:
- The system development follows the development process as described in the DOH;
- The system configuration meets its intended needs:
- Aircraft level;
- Business needs;
- Regulatory requirements.
- Requirements Management on the System Level:
- Validation of Aircraft Level Requirements;
- System Level Compliance to Aircraft Level Requirements;
- Provision of System Level Requirements for the Component Level to link up to.
- Execution and Management of Engineering tasks:
- Provide the Aircraft Level CE with the System Level Development Logic, aligned with the Aircraft Level Development Logic;
- Establish the Engineering Work Breakdown Substructure from the System Level to the Component Level;
- Definition of SOW’s and SLA’s for each Sub-WBS element jointly with the internal or external suppliers, leveraging the knowledge of the functional organisation;
- Execution of the SOW’s and SLA’s according to plan.
- Completeness of functional, logical and physical interface definition between System Level and Component Level;
- Regular updates of the system description documents (SDD’s) as required by the evolution of the system design.
You’ll bring this with you
- Engineering degree (MA Eng/Sc, Dr./PhD.) in aeronautics/aviation or mechanical engineering;
- 20+ years professional expertise in lead the mechanical system work package in an aircraft program, best at OEM;
- Deep new aircraft development experience;
- Wide proficiency of certification requirements, weight, system performance, airworthiness;
- Proven Teamleader with very good leadership skills;
- Leads and instructs internal and external complex tasks;
- Very good presentation and communication skills.
