Contribute to the development and delivery of premium connectivity and telematics solutions for next generation lifestyle vehicles;
Component ownership of the telematics ECU for the global markets outside of China, responsible to deliver hardware and software on time, quality and within budget;
Ensure carrier acceptance, certification and conformance approval as well as performance for the target markets and Support the definition of test & validation activities incl. field trials, ensure the execution of test plans and review results;
Drive issue resolution internally and with suppliers/partners; Manage and steer multiple suppliers and sub-suppliers; Review, create and maintain system, design and component requirements;
Challenge the technical content and product definition under the aspects of performance and competitiveness. Identify gaps, propose improvement opportunities and drive their implementation;
Ensure compliance with market specific requirements and regulations (e.g. Europe, North America) and Ensure that launch quality is robust over lifetime and fulfilling customer expectations;
Support the product owner for eCall, bCall/roadside assistance and stolen vehicle tracking to develop, deliver and roll out the services in line with local market requirements; Perform benchmark activities, analyse market and technology trends and present conclusions to the leadership.
Your profile:
Degree in telecommunications, computer science, electrical engineering or a related course of studies;
Min. 5 years of working experience in connectivity and/or telematics, preferably at an automotive OEM or Tier 1;
Experience developing and delivering complex E/E components for automotive applications;
Technical expertise within one or multiple of the following areas: Network access devices and modem technologies, mobile networks (2G/3G/4G/5G) for voice and data services, SIM/MNO Management, eSIM/SIM end-end connectivity and infrastructure aspects, carrier acceptance tests, network interoperability;
Familiar with E/E architecture concepts and in-vehicle network technologies (CAN, Ethernet) as well as E/E development tools (e.g. Vector CANoe, Diagnostic Tools, data loggers etc.);
Driving license and willingness to travel occasionally;
