What you will learn and contribute to

Nokia's CNS GC SW Upgrades and Advance Services team in Europe is seeking an experienced Domain Technical Manager (DTM) to support development and delivery Software upgrades and Expert Services for cloud-native Nokia core products and solutions.

DTM will have the standard technical project management skill-set with particular ability around stakeholder & risk management along with effective management of multiple project services.

DTM will be responsible for technical delivery of the project from the phase of inception to closure. DTM will work on complex projects which are typically of higher risk (technical, organizational, reputation), high value or are of strategic importance. They will also work on large programs of work involving multiple organizations and technologies with high business visibility.

As SUS/AdvSrv DTM you will:

  • Understand the overall project deliverables from a technical perspective and help facilitate various project execution stages independently;
  • Manage a technical team of SMEs across design, planning, delivery and ensure relevant standards are adhered to;
  • Raise risks, develop mitigation plans and trigger escalations as needed;
  • Ensure resources are skilled adequately and identify gaps and escalate if required;
  • Provide inputs, dependencies to project plan, work with the PM;
  • Ensure that the products and services delivered to customers are reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and that it meets the customer's needs;
  • Provide security policy and compliance consultation support and guidance.

Your skills and experience

For this role you will need to have:

  • A degree in Telecommunications Engineering or proven experience in the field;
  • 5+ years of experience Core products and cloud-native solutions;
  • Combine technical expertise with a business-minded approach;
  • Excellent oral and written skills;
  • Self-starter, requiring little or no supervision or direction;
  • Team player, capable of operating in a complex network of human and professional relations;
  • Focused on achieving results and meeting long term goals;
  • Ready and capable to apply creative and analytical approaches to problem solving;
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, customer interfacing, leadership and management skills;
  • Competences/Expertise in GSM/UMTS/LTE system validation (end-to-end performance, KPI handling, mobile devices);
  • Experience and understanding of Mobile Networks (GMS, UMTS, LTE) and IP Networks.
