THE MISSION

As part of the Quality team, the primary purpose of the role is to manage quality control activities and to work with production team to maintain product quality by enforcing quality management policies, procedures and instructions and implement new approaches.

More specifically, you willl:

  • Monitor the entire production cycle, execute quality control activities, report all nonconformities, and specify corrective actions to solve the problems;
  • Conduct quality checks for ongoing works with site inspections on a regular basis and control the manufacturing steps to ensure that technical standards are met at all times;
  • Oversee the production and engineering processes by ensuring the proper use of tools, materials and procedures and determine quality metrics for the processes;
  • Understand test requirements and propose solutions to resolve issues;
  • Create quality and safety documentation;
  • Manage Supplier performance by controlling/inspecting raw material semi-finished product delivery and track supplier non conformities compliance;
  • Plan and organize regular product inspections as well as manage supplier audits;
  • Prepare quality control plans in accordance with company plans and review the documentation;
  • Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products;
  • Develop and maintain a clear communication with suppliers to ensure shipment quality and deliveries;
  • Follow up process related customer and/or process complaints;
  • Manage the calibration activities;
  • In addition to that, you will support the Quality Team in implementing and conducting a Quality Management System and its operations in the company.

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE

Musts:

  • University degree in engineering, management or related field;
  • 3+ years of relevnt work experience in Quality Management and Compliance in the Aviation & Aerospace industry;
  • Relevant working experience in statistical quality control methods in manufacturing environment;
  • Experience with cause-effect analysis and problem-solving methods (5 Why Analysis, 8D Reports, Fish bone/Ishikawa Diagrams);
  • Very good knowledge of practice with APQP processes;
  • Good knowledge of AS 9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 and having Internal Auditor certification;
  • Clear understanding of current and future trends as well as opportunities in Aviation & Aerospace industry;
  • Passionate about new space, curious and eager to learn;
  • Driven to deliver and constantly push the boundaries;
  • Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes;
  • Humble and willing to go out of your way to help others;
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills;
  • Fluent in English and German.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Lead Auditor certification of ISO 9001:2015;
  • Six Sigma and Lean certification;
  • Experience with business decision making methods (Pareto Analysis) and risk analysis (FMEA, 5x5);
  • Basic knowledge of rocket engineering;
  • Experience working in a start-up or other fast-paced environment;
  • Ideally native German speaking.
