The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements:
- European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old;
- Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any;
- Fluent in English.

A VIE for a "Aviation safety support staff (m/f)" has arisen within Helicopters Italia in Trento (Italy). You will join the Quality and Aviation Safety Department.
The Quality and Safety Department aim to ensure that the activities carried out by the Maintenance Organization are carried out in compliance with national and international regulations, in compliance with the standards that the company intends to respect as well as carry out activities of promotion, analysis and prevention of the Safety applied to the company activity.
This VIE can start in July 2022 and will last 12 months.
This date is subject to flexibility due to country constraints and the health context related to COVID-19.
For France:
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the maintenance of the company Safety Management System;
- Monitor the progress of the SMS and the related KPIs;
- Update Safety Board;
- Collect data in cases;
- Contribute to the maintenance of the FOD prevention program;
- Update and classify Central procedures.
This role will involve some travel for business, mainly in Italy, and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills
You have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably aeronautics, or other related technical discipline;
- Basic knowledge of European aviation regulations (EASA) is a plus Work Experience not strictly required;
- Computer literacy (MicroSoft Office suite);
- Soft skills:
- Teamwork;
- Resistance to time pressure;
- Quickly adapt to changes;
- Management of the unexpected.
- Language Skills:
- Intermediate/advanced level of English;
- Beginner level of Italian is a plus.
