The rotorcraft department of the DLR Institute for Flight Systems in Braunschweig deals with simulation of the flight- and aeromechanics, the stability and control, and systems technology of rotorcraft in general.
The department has around 50 employees, operates its own test stands and uses DLR's two flying test vehicles EC 135 FHS and BO 105 for its research. The intensive cooperation with other DLR institutes at various locations as well as with national and international partners from industry and research forms an important cornerstone for the successful scientific work of the department.
As head of the “Flight Dynamics/Handling Qualities” group in the rotorcraft department, you have the following tasks:
