Your Opportunity

As a member of the ZEROe project, you will join a team of highly motivated and valuable people who are involved in aircraft concept exploration, technologies development, next generation industrial system and future hydrogen ecosystem preparation that will shape the development of our zero-emission aviation.
We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our project team by bringing his/her experience in their field of liquid hydrogen and system integration as well as making the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Your Main Responsibilities
For a period of two years your tasks will include:
- Acting as competence by defining liquid hydrogen storage systems, sub-systems and components as well as respective interfaces and controls for operational and safety procedures;
- Interacting with internal interfaces as well as with suppliers and technology partners;
- Analyzing and evaluating material properties with respect to H2 and cryogenic temperatures;
- Driving the system level integration while ensuring safety when defining, evaluating and trading safety concepts including operations, failure cases and tank integration for cryogenic liquid and pressurized gaseous hydrogen;
- Performing knowledge management.
Who We Are Looking For
Because ZEROe is preparing the future of aviation, we look for a highly skilled and passionate colleague, able to bring his/her energy and expertise into the Airbus engineering universe.
As such:
- You have a degree in engineering, science or equivalent combined with first years of professional experience in system engineering, physical system integration, thermodynamics and/or fluid-dynamics of systems, ideally for aviation applications;
- You bring first skills in the area of H2 and cryogenic liquids combined with basic component level knowledge on valves, pipes, heat exchanger, sensors and/or others;
- Ideally, you have competencies in safety and certification related requirements for H2 and cryogenic liquids;
- You are experienced with materials and surface science as well as supplier management;
- Ideally you have first experiences in the research & technology sector as well as in project management;
- You are a proactive and highly motivated person with a great sense of initiative and the ability to manage confidential topics;
- You show strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills;
- Your English is at negotiating level.
