Fugro is now seeking ambitious Geotechnical Engineers to join the Land team based from our Oxfordshire head office. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you are a member of our GeoConsulting team - providing the technical expertise that underpins our Site Characterisation activities. You'll spend 60 - 70% of your time on one of our client sites across the UK, or further afield. You'll be responsible for the control of field resources, core and sample logging, in situ testing or assisting the site agent and project management team. As a company representative on-site, you will also be responsible for championing a strong safety culture, facilitating client liaison and maintaining communication with project and reporting managers to report site progress and planning. You will assist with the commercial and technical management of routine onshore and nearshore ground investigations and preparing data deliverables and factual reports.

You will be part of our large team of more than 70 Geotechnical engineers, which is the powerhouse of our technical expertise. You will work closely with both Principle and Senior Engineers as well as Project Managers to ensure successful completion of site activities and to maintain clear communication on-site and with clients. You will also interact regularly with other Fugro departments including geotechnical laboratory staff, surface and downhole geophysical teams, instrumentation and monitoring engineers, cone penetration testing teams and specialist testing engineers.
