We are looking for a Lead Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Designer to join Airbus in Filton, Bristol (UK). You will join the (SIMS2) Ground Service Equipment Engineering team and report to the Head of the department.
This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with and lead an international team responsible for designing and manufacturing tools to support Airlines and MROs in performing maintenance tasks, aircraft modifications and repairs. You will be part of an end to end GSE community of 50+ people in GSE Design together with 150+ staff in SATAIR.
In this role, you would lead a GSE design team based in Filton (UK) working on wings, fuel systems and landing gear across the whole Airbus product range. The GSE business currently represents 100M€ revenue per year and is growing fast. They are also responsible for developing and adopting new technologies to decrease lead time, identify new materials to improve sustainability, ergonomics and cost.
If successful you will be subject to a BPSS check including a criminal record check.
This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
