A vacancy for a Retrofit Solutions Engineer - Small Deals Manager (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Operations - Customer Service in Hamburg.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the E2E business of minor complex Cabin modifications. Which covers the definition and integration of retrofit design solutions for Single Aslie, LongRange & A350 aircraft post-delivery. The main focus will be on Small Deal cabin modifications including associated mechanical and electrical interfaces and adaptation of related cabin systems.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Coordinate all design activities in terms of cost, time and quality;
Manage and validate internal and external engineering work packages;
Check and release of design drawings (Technical Authorization);
Prepare and follow-up of all relevant certification documents, e.g. Full-Technical Repercussion Sheet, Mod Approval Sheet, Independent Check Sheet and supporting documents;
Support airworthiness activities and Safety Management System;
Coordinate engineering data to SB-Production, supply chain and other involved internal customers;
Lead technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
Reply TechRequests (TRM) & provide SB embodiment support remotely.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

A university degree in engineering or similar will be required;
Experience in A350 Engineering is a plus, as we are looking for a candidate with very good knowledge on the related toolset;
Several years of professional experience at Upgrade Services, preferably on SA,LR & A350 Programme is a plus;
Technical project management experience and proficiency in handling typical design tools, such as ICC, SAMM DACAS, Supreme, VT3, CCD/CATIA, TAKSY, APS &3DJump;
You are able to give guidance to subcontractors and project stakeholders;
A high level of personal responsibility is needed;
English: fluent level.
