The Image Sensor Solutions business aims to become the uncontested leader in optical imaging solutions extending human vision. ISS products are mainly produced in Austria and Singapore.
Your new responsibilities
Design and model novel membrane devices for sensor applications, in existing technologies and technologies under development.
Develop from prototype devices all the way to qualified devices for mass production.
Provide clear and unambiguous requirements for the designed components to match the product architecture.
Define and contribute to development of new set-ups for membrane characterization in electrical and optical labs.
Define characterization plan and analyze results from the designed
Work in cross-disciplinary, multi-site project teams.
Submit innovative patent proposals.
Contributing to the ongoing creation of a positive, productive work environment.
What we look for
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Semiconductors or related field
Proven track of record in silicon-based membrane design: >5 years of industrial experience.
Knowledge of membrane device design, simulation and Foundry processes
Knowledge of characterization steps and methods of membrane devices in electronics and optical labs.
Passion for novel technologies and sensors.
Fluent in English.
Experience with multi-physics device simulations (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS) is an advantage.
Experience with requirements engineering and System Engineering practices and tools is a plus.
Knowledge of optics, packaging, electronics, acoustics, electromagnetics, etc. is a plus.
Experience in bringing to mass production own membrane designs is an advantage
Experience with task tracking systems (TeamForge, JIRA, etc.) is a plus.
Good programming and modelling skills is an advantage.
Inventive, taking initiative, enthusiastic with strong team work attitude
Able to manage priorities of multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
