A vacancy for a Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Hamburg at the earliest possible start date.

Who we are

You will be part of an engaged team of structure design and analysis engineers taking care of the development of fuselage structures for the A350 aircraft derivatives such as the new Freighter aircraft.

What will be your part in the team

  • Be the Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis responsible;
  • Analyze and validate composite & hybrid structures for Fatigue and Damage Tolerance according to validated methods;
  • Ensure adherence to regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines;
  • Define, interpret and validate tests;
  • Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders;
  • Provide relevant input to design for the creation of drawings for manufacture and support to other functions (i.e. production, customer support) as needed;
  • Provide stress analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures;
  • Perform monitoring/guidance/support of Sub-contracting firms providing structure analysis work.

What we expect

  • Engineering Degree in Aerospace or comparable;
  • Experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Methods;
  • Toolset experience required: ISAMI, Altair Hyperworks, Nastran, NASGRO,PASS SSCI, TREND;
  • Spectrum Analysis (with specific tools);
  • Programming skills preferred: Python;
  • Project management fundamentals;
  • "Hands-on" mentality;
  • Open and curious mindset;
  • English negotiation level and German intermediate.
