As an expert with in-depth know-how in the field of Li-Ion battery cells you will be responsible for the targeted optimization and development of electrodes for all cell formats in collaboration with internal and external partners;
The coordination of development projects as well as the progression of methods for evaluation and production of electrodes and battery components is also part of your responsibility;
Your area of responsibility includes the scale-up of electrode recipes and production processes from the lab-scale to the prototype cell production;
You will develop innovative concepts, derive requirements, and identify, evaluate, and develop new promising materials in projects with external partners;
As part of the interdisciplinary team of the BCCC you will collaborate with the simulation and laboratory team and derive new methods, e.g. for early electrode characterization and advance digitalization;
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing, evaluating, and selecting relevant innovations and coordinating their realization in the cell production.
What should you bring along?
University degree in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering, material sciences, physics, or a comparable field of study;
In-depth professional experience in the field of electric-storage technologies, particularly battery cells and their production processes;
Extensive experience in the field of electro-chemistry and characterization of battery materials;
Affinity for digitalization and data management in the laboratory desired;
Experience in working with international suppliers;
Knowledge in the use of analytical methods for electrode characterization;
Business-fluent English and German;
Self-employed, cooperative, structured working attitude, flexibility, and initiative;
