Director of Manufacturing Engineering for Battery Systems

Director of Manufacturing Engineering for Battery Systems

Northvolt

Stockholm, Sweden

Northvolt is continuing to expand and we are hiring a Director of Manufacturing Engineering for our Battery Systems Business Unit.

The Director of Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for the design and industrialization of our process and equipment for our lithium-ion battery systems.

If you are up for the task, you will be responsible for setting the strategy, developing the team, and realizing the implementation of controls and procedures for developing high quality and efficient production lines and processes, both for our low-volume and planned greenfield high-volume facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with multiple parallel stakeholders, as well as the ability to design, develop, select, justify, acquire, install, and qualify new production equipment and processes. The right candidate has a background in building and launching new production lines alongside new products, and if you have done so for electronics, medical, or battery manufacturing this will only help you along the journey. You should know the vendors of machinery, factory equipment and automation systems from previous engagements, and be excited to hit the ground running on the development of our next generation products, processes, and equipment!

You will be part of building a dependable team (from the small but extremely talented group that it is here today), capable of scaling Northvolt’s batteries operations in Sweden and beyond.
