Job Description

MENCK GmbH is part of the Acteon Foundations & Cables segment & are currently looking for a Team Manager for Product Engineering. The successful candidate will work together with the wider Acteon MENCK team be the accountable person for developing the next generation of piledriving systems and the next generation of hammers for the fast-growing offshore wind turbine foundation market.

If successful you'll be based in Kaltenkirchen in Germany, you will be responsible for leading a high preforming team & delivering exceptional product engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a continuous motivated and productive team that delivers results that generates measurable benefits for the business.
  • Secure positive stakeholder management in the MENCK organisation, the Foundations and Cables Segment, the Acteon Group and with all associated external partners and customers.
  • Resource planning for the entire engineering department in collaboration with engineering management and other MENCK departments.
  • Manage activities and deliverables against plan.
  • Identify potential collaboration partners.
  • Prepare and negotiate framework agreements for external engineering services.
  • Participation/coordination for the methods in engineering, i.e. selection, implementation and maintenance of tools and methods as well as initiation and implementation of improvements, definition of standards and guidelines.
  • Technical support for suppliers.
  • Technical support for other departments (project support, acceptance of machines and large components, approvals and assumption of responsibility for material groups).
  • Ensuring smooth project processes, in particular by ensuring support and further development of cooperation with other interfaces (in particular with sales, project management, purchasing and quality assurance).

Profile

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with structural calculations and dynamic FEM simulations.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience as a project manager or department manager within mechanical engineering.
  • Technical visionary and able to see new opportunities.
  • Able to motivate people to deliver their outmost.
  • Problem solving mentality and able to execute and deliver.
  • Good at creating a team mentality.
  • Dynamic, hands on mentality.
  • Fluent in English and German.
