The position is related to high-performance battery system manufacturing for Energy Storage and Motive (forklift, distribution center automation, etc.) applications. The role may also include manufacturing of UPS, telco, and other battery systems and EV charging systems (low/mid/high power).

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

  • Take ownership of in-depth engagement with Tier-1 Customer technical staff to properly scope project requirements;
  • Implement profitable manufacturing processes, and optimize manufacturing solutions;
  • Lead the high-level decision process from a technical standpoint related to vendor selections and manufacturing equipment implementation;
  • Support technical team of engineers to execute projects;
  • Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root causes of equipment failures and develop hands-on maintenance skills;
  • Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem-solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products;
  • Inline quality controls, data collection, and data management.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

  • 5-10 years of experience related to manufacturing of energy delivery and storage systems;
  • Technical educational degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience with high throughput battery system manufacturing technologies including inline quality controls, data collection, and management;
  • Experience with high precision welding technology suitable for a variety of materials and locations within the product (cell to cell, cell to busbar, and busbar to busbar);
  • Extended practical knowledge of DC-DC power conversion, battery and system safety, and regulatory compliance related to energy and storage systems;
  • Understanding of manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies, and techniques in high voltage from low up to high power, EV charging systems, together with system safety and regulatory compliance requirements;
  • Readiness to travel 50% of the time, mainly in the EU but also to other regions.
