Tasks
As a simulation and modelling engineer, your main task will be supplying advanced technical engineering solutions in electrical and mechanical powertrain architectures, controls and components. You will be responsible for providing unique models and designs to meet current and future market requirements for powertrain systems and components. You will design and implement mechanical or electrical models and control systems found throughout the entire vehicle, ranging from powertrain components to precise control functions.
- You are responsible for building dynamic simulation models with Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow for closed-loop software testing of complete mechanical or electrical powertrains or powertrain control functions;
- You are consulting and collaborating with the customer and project engineer to meet the ever-growing standards of the fast-changing automotive industry;
- You also take charge of validating the models using simulation and comparison with measurements;
- You define and implement interfaces between model-based function development and simulation;
- You develop new methods for software and model in the loop simulation and implement the models in XiL-systems;
- You develop control systems and model based functions with rapid prototyping systems;
- You build real-time Simulink models with Matlab/Simulink and code generation;
- Collaborating with international project teams.
Qualifications
- You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering or an equivalent education;
- Ideally, you have work experience in Automotive Engineering;
- You have previous experience in modelling and simulation with MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow;
- You have good working knowledge of XiL simulations;
- Your knowledge of AVL tools such as Concerto and Cruise is considered a plus;
- You have good working knowledge of MS Office;
- You speak English very well, and German language is considered a plus;
- You’re a team player with a service-oriented working style, and as a self-confident person, you always have an eye for the essentials;
- You are flexible and willing to travel abroad/domestic, whenever it is required.
