As one of the world’s leading engineering, professional services and technical consultancy firms, at WSP, we’re passionate about the big questions. And big answers, naturally. For us that’s all about reaching beyond the expected to do work that’ll make a profound impact felt long into the future.
RES PM South is seeking a professional within the business with at significant post graduate experience to join our team as a Project Manager. We're a small, high performing team that adds value to the rail engineering design services offered to our client. Our current projects include the award winning London Bridge ETE GRIP 5-8, Crossrail South East Section and Brighton Mainline Upgrade Programme. We do everything (from bids to delivery to lessons learnt and everything in between) in our small focussed team. Experience of the engineering design process and/or commercial management will be highly regarded and contribute to your success in the team. You do not have to have Rail specific experience.
We are looking for people with the ability to apply a systematic approach to project delivery, pro-actively manage risks and influence others to deliver successfully. Candidates must have some technical capability, excellent communication and strong project/programme management skills, and be willing to take on new challenges.
You will be largely UK focused, based out of our London or Birmingham office. Opportunities may also arise to work in other areas of the UK.
Developing and leading complex multi-discipline design teams to deliver projects for different stakeholders, you will build on your hands-on experience of working with client teams in a collaborative and integrated manner. Your design team may be drawn from multiple offices with conflicting operational priorities, an ability to utilise modern technologies to build consensus and maximise design effort is very desirable.
Leading our projects following the requirements of the Business Management System, as well as, to meet client requirements. Experience of working within the Network Rail environment (or other similar major UK client organisation), specifically in the use of the client systems and processes will be advantageous. You will join an active RES Project Management community which you will be expect to contribute to.
